IndieNeed is a launch site for indie makers.
Type in either box; the other one follows. ARR is MRR times 12.
How it is worked out
MRR (monthly recurring revenue) is what your subscriptions bring in each month. ARR (annual recurring revenue) is MRR times 12; ARR divided by 12 is MRR.
Count only recurring revenue: subscriptions, normalised to a month (a $120 yearly plan adds $10 to MRR). Leave out one-time fees, setup charges and refunds.
Questions
- How do I convert MRR to ARR?
- Multiply MRR by 12. $2,500 of MRR is $30,000 of ARR.
- How do yearly plans count towards MRR?
- Divide the yearly price by 12. A customer on a $240 yearly plan adds $20 to MRR.
- Should one-time payments count?
- No. MRR and ARR count recurring revenue only, so one-time fees, setup charges and lifetime deals stay out.
