Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Indie Need collects, why, and what control you have over it. We aim to collect only what we need to run the Service well.
Data we collect
- Account data: your name or handle, email address, and profile details you choose to add.
- Content data: products, launches, comments, reviews, votes, and media you submit.
- Usage data: basic logs needed to keep the Service secure and working, such as request metadata and rate-limit signals.
How we use it
We use your data to operate your account, display your public profile and contributions, run discovery and ranking features, send notifications you have opted into, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data.
What is public
Your profile, your published products and launches, your comments and reviews, and your public vote counts are visible to others. Your email address, draft or pending submissions, private settings, and moderation history are not public.
Third-party services
We rely on trusted providers to run the Service, including authentication and database hosting, and optional email delivery. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.
Your rights
You can access and update most of your data from your settings. You may request a copy of your data or deletion of your account by contacting us. We retain data only as long as needed to provide the Service or meet legal requirements.
