Glutensa
Launching todayChecks packaged foods for gluten by barcode or name
Glutensa checks whether a food product is gluten-free for people with coeliac disease. Its results combine an in-house database, the official Çölyak Derneği list and a live internet search. Shoppers can scan a barcode or type a product name to get a quick answer.
Scanning works by holding the camera about 15 cm from the barcode, and results appear in seconds. The service is completely free to use. Manufacturers can change products, so checking the label remains advisable.
