Peeka, by Nourishly vs Platefolio
Facts from each product's IndieNeed listing, side by side.
Peeka is a free iOS beta that turns one photo of your fridge into a list of what you have, then shows recipes you can cook from those exact items, oldest food first. It's for anyone who opens the fridge, sees food, and still orders in. Two high school founders built it and we're looking for testers who will try to break the first run and tell us where it got confusing.
Platefolio is a recipe manager built on one idea: the layout of a recipe should be your choice, not the app's. The same recipe renders five ways, you can pick per recipe: a clean cookbook page, a 4x6 notecard, a Cooking for Engineers style flowchart, a mobile-friendly CfE Rails view, or a step-by-step cook mode. Add recipes by hand, import from a URL, pasted text, or a photo/screenshot.
